Suspected drugs seized in search linked to West Belfast UDA probe

Search was carried out in Donaghadee on Wednesday

Suspected drugs have been seized in Co Down by police investigating criminal activity linked to the West Belfast UDA.

PSNI officers from the multi-agency Paramilitary Crime Task Force carried out a search at a property in Donaghadee on Wednesday under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Suspected Class B and C drugs were seized, along with mobile phones and a sum of cash.



The items were taken away for further forensic examination.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “I would ask anyone with information about the supply of illegal drugs to contact police on 101.”
