Pair released after arrest following Saintfield crash

Two people arrested following a crash in Co Down have been released by police.

The arrests followed a report of a crash involving a red Honda Civic car at the Old Belfast Road in the Saintfield area shortly after noon on Saturday.

The man and woman, both aged in their 30s, were detained on suspicion of a number of motoring offences.

They were released pending further police enquiries.



A PSNI spokesperson said: “Enquiries remain ongoing, and police are appealing to anyone with information in relation to the collision, or who may have dashcam footage, to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 589 of 27/04/24.”
