Police are appealing for information following incidents where shots were fired at a house in Derry and a property in Co Antrim was targeted in a petrol bomb attack.
Four people were in the house in the Ardkill Road, Ardmore area of Derry when three shots were fired through a window at around 9.15pm on Saturday.
Police said one of the shots narrowly missed one of those in the property.
No injuries were reported, and a PSNI spokesperson said: “An investigation has commenced and we are keen to speak to anyone who was in the Ardmore area at around the time of the incident.
“Anyone who has any information, or dashcam or doorbell footage which could help the investigation, should contact police on 101 quoting reference 1536 06/01/23.”
Sinn Féin Foyle MLA Ciara Ferguson said: “This was an extremely reckless and indiscriminate attack which narrowly avoided causing death or injury.
“There is no place in our society for these types of attacks and those responsible should stop immediately. I would call on anyone with information on this incident to bring it forward to the PSNI.”
Meanwhile, a petrol bomb was thrown at a house in Larne’s Ronald Street area shortly after midnight on Saturday.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Scorch damage was caused to the front door and front window, but thankfully there were no reports of any injuries.
“Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and police would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the incident, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 3 06/01/24.”
The incident follows a petrol bomb attack at a house in Larne’s Circular Road area last month.
